ReadKidz Kids MV turns one simple story idea into a complete children’s song and animated music video. The workflow guides you through lyrics, music, visual style, production assets, storyboarding, video generation, final editing, and export in one connected project.

In this tutorial, we will create **Clean Up Dance with Luna**, a colorful children’s music video about Luna the bunny and her animal friends turning playroom cleanup into a teamwork dance.

### What can you create with Kids MV?

With Kids MV, you can:

* Turn a short idea into structured children’s-song lyrics.
* Generate and compare complete song takes.
* Keep the song, lyrics, storyboard, and video timing connected.
* Build consistent characters, locations, and props.
* Convert the song into timed storyboard shots.
* Generate all video clips and assemble them with the music.
* Add aligned lyric captions automatically.
* Export a finished film or download source assets for further editing.

### Before you begin

Prepare a clear idea describing what the song should be about. Write it like a short story: identify the main character, what happens, and the feeling or lesson you want the song to communicate.

You may also select characters that you have already created in ReadKidz.

Music, image, and video generation use credits. Song duration also affects the estimated cost of the later video-generation stage, so review the estimates displayed in ReadKidz before continuing.

### Step 1: Open Kids MV and describe the song as a story

From the ReadKidz 3.0 homepage, select **Kids MV**.

Enter the story your music video should tell. One clear idea is enough for ReadKidz to begin planning both the lyrics and the visual production.

For this tutorial, the idea is:

> Luna the little bunny and her animal friends turn cleaning up their playroom into a colorful dance, sorting toys by color and celebrating teamwork.

Select **Characters** if you want to include saved ReadKidz characters in the project.

<figure><img src="https://3477754308-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FzsZfoBvZYXkMl9uNhUAM%2Fuploads%2Fxw36HWAj3gG2SYG9VafJ%2F01-enter-kids-mv-idea.png?alt=media&amp;token=3438a4f0-4ab1-477d-a19c-4c66649fd9e9" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Step 2: Choose the MV format, audience, and song length

Configure the basic project settings before generating the song:

1. Choose the available MV format. In this example, we use **Performance**.
2. Select the target age group.
3. Select the preferred song length.
4. Click **Start song**.

Performance mode builds the music video around a complete musical performance.

<figure><img src="https://3477754308-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FzsZfoBvZYXkMl9uNhUAM%2Fuploads%2Fl6kwuldpclPuCp9TrlqF%2F02-choose-format-audience-length.png?alt=media&amp;token=8eed214f-c8a2-46db-8ac2-7f758e65f1c0" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Step 3: Review and edit the generated lyrics

ReadKidz generates a song title and organizes the lyrics into clear sections such as verses and choruses.

Use the section list on the left to review the complete song. Before generating the music, check:

* Whether the story develops clearly from beginning to end.
* Whether the chorus is memorable and easy for children to repeat.
* Whether the vocabulary suits the selected age group.
* Whether each lyric section matches the intended message and mood.

You can edit each lyric section and adjust lyric timing before confirming the music.

<figure><img src="https://3477754308-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FzsZfoBvZYXkMl9uNhUAM%2Fuploads%2FtMFJU7sVAJk4sTinhZn9%2F03-review-and-edit-lyrics.png?alt=media&amp;token=a81edd1a-8f9d-4a64-9a8b-12cd013134d2" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Step 4: Compare and choose the master song take

ReadKidz creates two complete song takes for comparison.

1. Play **Take A** and **Take B**.
2. Compare the vocal character, melody, rhythm, and overall mood.
3. Review the duration and estimated video credits shown for each take.
4. Choose the version that best fits your project.

The confirmed take becomes the master timing source for every later storyboard shot and video clip.

If neither version is suitable, select **Generate two new takes**.

<figure><img src="https://3477754308-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FzsZfoBvZYXkMl9uNhUAM%2Fuploads%2FR8gQulslizu7d8d9CfGa%2F04-choose-master-song-take.png?alt=media&amp;token=ef9a2631-bdd2-4ed2-b8cf-bab952614088" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Optional: Fine-tune the music or story

Before moving into visual production, you can use the additional controls at the top of the Music page:

* Open **Music prompt** to review or refine the mood, instruments, tempo, and vocal character sent to the music model.
* Use **Want to tune the story?** to reshape the storytelling while keeping the confirmed song and lyric timing intact.
* Use **Adjust lyric timing** when the lyrics need more precise alignment.

### Step 5: Choose a consistent visual style

Open **Art style** and choose one visual direction for the complete music video.

The selected style is carried through:

* Character designs.
* Character turnaround and outfit sheets.
* Locations and sets.
* Props.
* Storyboard frames.
* Final video clips.

Choose a style that matches the song’s audience, mood, and energy before generating the production assets.

### Step 6: Review the cast, sets, and props

The **Cast & sets** stage prepares the visual production assets required by the song.

Review:

* Main and supporting characters.
* Character turnaround and base-outfit references.
* Locations and set references.
* Important props used in the story.

These references help Luna and her friends remain recognizable from one shot to the next.

You can use **Generate all assets** to prepare the required assets together.

Every asset remains editable. Open an asset to inspect or revise its prompt, or describe the requested change to Pudding in natural language.

<figure><img src="https://3477754308-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FzsZfoBvZYXkMl9uNhUAM%2Fuploads%2Ft4tFHbuiAFdqIL3McsyT%2F05-review-cast-sets-props.png?alt=media&amp;token=3419cc38-3d98-4238-b0f5-bbf0693c7666" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Step 7: Build the timed storyboard

The storyboard converts the confirmed song into a sequence of timed shots. In this example, ReadKidz creates 18 shots and connects each shot to the characters, sets, and props it needs.

Review the storyboard for:

* Story progression.
* Shot order and duration.
* Character and prop continuity.
* Visual variety.
* Alignment with the selected song take.

Use the batch-generation option to generate all storyboard frames together instead of working through every shot individually.

<figure><img src="https://3477754308-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FzsZfoBvZYXkMl9uNhUAM%2Fuploads%2FBDa20AII4eVOYAGJZlwm%2F06-generate-storyboard.png?alt=media&amp;token=50c63ade-6bce-4d7c-990d-e0065039ebf6" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Step 8: Edit an individual storyboard shot

Each storyboard shot can be refined before video generation.

Open a shot to:

* Review and edit its complete prompt.
* Change the composition or action.
* Switch to Pudding Chat and describe the desired revision naturally.
* Apply a change to the whole shot or refine a single frame.

Finalize the storyboard before generating video. A clear storyboard reduces unnecessary video regeneration later.

<figure><img src="https://3477754308-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FzsZfoBvZYXkMl9uNhUAM%2Fuploads%2FhZTSJhe1lVk8ERFWdpAL%2F07-edit-storyboard-shots.png?alt=media&amp;token=28b344ef-e928-495e-a1e4-a6e28338c70e" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Step 9: Generate all video clips

Move to the **Video** stage after the storyboard is ready.

Generate all 18 video clips together instead of producing them one by one. Each clip follows the timing established by the master song and storyboard, helping the visuals remain synchronized with the music.

Preview individual clips and re-film a shot if its motion, composition, or character performance needs improvement.

<figure><img src="https://3477754308-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FzsZfoBvZYXkMl9uNhUAM%2Fuploads%2FGg1Y9IRda3L8fFMitOXt%2F08-generate-video-clips.png?alt=media&amp;token=f1a3bd9e-129f-4c18-bb34-29478420248b" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Step 10: Assemble the music video in Final cut

The **Final cut** stage brings the complete project together:

* All generated video clips.
* The confirmed master song.
* Automatically aligned lyric captions.

Preview the entire music video and review the sequence. If necessary, adjust the clip order or return to an earlier stage to regenerate a shot.

In this example, 18 video clips are assembled into a 1 minute 52 second music video.

<figure><img src="https://3477754308-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FzsZfoBvZYXkMl9uNhUAM%2Fuploads%2FEZ3HAS0NF5O9XsjOZfD0%2F09-review-final-cut.png?alt=media&amp;token=b2f45386-96a0-4a15-8a48-26a16ca01551" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Step 11: Export the finished film or source assets

Select **Export film** when the final cut is ready.

The export options allow you to:

* Build the finished music video.
* Choose whether to include lyric captions.
* Download selected source assets as a package for editing in another application.
* Return to previous exports later.

Use the finished-film option when you want a ready-to-share music video. Download the source pack when you want to continue editing the individual videos, audio, captions, or other project assets in an external editor.

<figure><img src="https://3477754308-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FzsZfoBvZYXkMl9uNhUAM%2Fuploads%2F6iqFN2hjeC6anldYICWo%2F10-export-film.png?alt=media&amp;token=5e9e16d9-3ad2-4dfb-aaa7-590aa408ce1d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Step 12: Play and share the completed Kids MV

After the export is complete, the finished song appears in **My songs**. Select **Play MV** to watch the completed music video.

You can use the finished Kids MV for:

* Personalized songs for children.
* Classroom routines and learning activities.
* Sing-along and movement activities.
* Story-based music content.
* Social media and YouTube videos.

<figure><img src="https://3477754308-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FzsZfoBvZYXkMl9uNhUAM%2Fuploads%2FsOluHZPZFShuXjGCskqE%2F11-play-finished-kids-mv.png?alt=media&amp;token=3afaa36e-13c0-4d86-b39c-f4a1da676a44" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
