# How to use ReadKidz to create your own series of children's picture books

A series of children's picture books refers to a set of picture books created by the same author or publisher, featuring the same main characters, style, and theme. For example, the well - known "Peppa Pig Series", "No, David! Series", etc.

So how do you use ReadKidz to <mark style="color:purple;">create your own series of children's picture books?</mark> First, you need to <mark style="color:purple;">identify the main character</mark> and then <mark style="color:purple;">plan the story outline for each book</mark>, which will make subsequent creation smoother.

**Step 1: Enter the creation page and create a new project.**

We can enter the creation page of the series of children's picture books in two ways!

Method 1:

① On the ReadKidz homepage, click "<mark style="color:purple;">HOME</mark>", and find "<mark style="color:purple;">AI Generate</mark>" in the "<mark style="color:purple;">AI PICTUER BOOK</mark>" section on the right!

② Choose <mark style="color:purple;">Book Series</mark>!

③ Enter the series name editing page, enter the series name you want to create, for example: "The Kitten Wants to Be a Detective", and click "<mark style="color:purple;">create</mark>" to enter the creation page!

Method 2:

We can click on "<mark style="color:purple;">AI Generate</mark>" under "<mark style="color:purple;">AI E-books</mark>" in the left navigation bar of the ReadKidz homepage! The subsequent steps are the same as in Method 1!

**Step 2: Story Generation**

① Set the parameters of your picture book. <mark style="color:purple;">Based on the story outline, determine the target age group, picture book type, picture book style, narrative perspective, and picture book size</mark>! (<mark style="color:red;">Please note: The target age group and picture book size for the subsequent picture books in the series should be consistent!</mark>)

② Enter the story theme according to the story outline and click "<mark style="color:purple;">AI Generate</mark>" to generate the story!

③ If you encounter a creative bottleneck, click on the <mark style="color:purple;">AI assistant</mark> in the upper right corner to let it generate story themes!

Click on the dialog box and send the type of story you want to generate to the AI. Select the desired story theme according to the AI's response and copy and paste it into the text box!

**Step 3: Story Review**

① Review whether the story is logical and whether it is the content you want!&#x20;

② You can directly make modifications in the original text. Of course, you can also click the arrow to slide up to the story generation page and click "<mark style="color:purple;">Generate</mark>" to generate a new one!&#x20;

**Step 4: Extract characters**

① After confirming that the story is correct, click "<mark style="color:purple;">Extract Roles</mark>" to extract the characters!

② When using it for the first time, there will be a pop-up reminder. The pop-up will display the basic information of the character. If there is a problem with the character information, "???" will be displayed. You can click "<mark style="color:purple;">confirm</mark>" to directly close the pop-up and modify it in the corresponding place of the character information list! If you don't need to display the pop-up in the future, <mark style="color:purple;">you can check "Do not show Again" and then click "confirm".</mark>

③ After confirming that the role is correct, click "<mark style="color:purple;">confirm role</mark>" to confirm the role. A confirmation pop-up window will appear. You can review it carefully again. After ensuring it is correct, click "<mark style="color:purple;">NEXT</mark>".

**Step 5: Style Selection**

After determining the character, we need to choose the style. The platform currently has over <mark style="color:purple;">100 styles</mark> in its collection, offering two categories: <mark style="color:purple;">classic reissue and official</mark>. Select the style you want, and you can proceed to the next step!

**Step 6: Character Portrait**

After confirming the style, we need to create a <mark style="color:purple;">character portrait!</mark>

① Click the <mark style="color:purple;">small pencil</mark> on the right side of the character to enter the <mark style="color:purple;">character information</mark> editing page！

② You can directly modify the descriptive words. <mark style="color:purple;">If you add new descriptive words</mark>, be sure to press the "<mark style="color:purple;">Enter</mark>" key and add them within the <mark style="color:purple;">specified number</mark> of characters, otherwise it will not take effect! After the modification is completed, remember to click "<mark style="color:purple;">confirm</mark>" to save!

③ After saving is completed, click "<mark style="color:purple;">Generate</mark>" in the lower left corner to generate the image!

④ AI image will generate four pictures at a time, choose the one that best matches the character description!

⑤  If you are not satisfied with the character portraits generated in the selected style, <mark style="color:purple;">you can click on the style selection page and choose a different style</mark>! After confirming the style, make sure that the character portraits of all characters are in the same style! Also, ensure that each character has a character portrait before proceeding to the next step! <mark style="color:red;">(Please note that once you click to proceed to the next step, you cannot regenerate the character portraits!</mark>)

Please note that it is necessary to ensure that each character has a single character portrait. Otherwise, we cannot proceed to the next step!

**Step 7: Subtitle Editing**

① Unsatisfactory subtitles can be edited directly!&#x20;

② To add subtitles, hover the mouse between the subtitles and click the "<mark style="color:purple;">+</mark>" icon that appears!&#x20;

③ <mark style="color:purple;">Each subtitle has a delete icon at the end</mark>. You can click on the subtitle you don't need to delete it! Once deleted, it cannot be retrieved!&#x20;

After the subtitle editing is completed, click Next!

**Step 8: Storyboard Page**

① Click "<mark style="color:purple;">Edit</mark>" in the upper right corner of the canvas to enter the prompt editing page!

② Review whether the content of the prompt corresponds to the subtitles. If not, you can edit it directly!

③ Light up the character portrait in the upper left corner according to the content of the prompt words! (<mark style="color:red;">Please note: To ensure the quality of the drawing, the order of the prompt words for the two - person scene needs to be written following the order of the character portraits!</mark>)

If you are not satisfied with the prompt, you can also write your own prompt!

④ After confirming that there is no error, click "<mark style="color:purple;">Generate</mark>" to create the illustration!

⑤ Of course, you can also return to the main page of the storyboard and generate multiple images simultaneously!

⑥ AI image generates four pictures at a time. Choose the one that best matches the prompt!

⑦ If you don't know how to modify the prompt for the two - person scene, you can click on the small question mark in the lower right corner of the two - person scene canvas to get help! Or when the number of times you generate the two - person scene reaches 3, you can choose whether to let the system change it to a single - person scene according to your needs!

⑧ If you want to delete a page, you can click the "<mark style="color:purple;">Trash Can</mark>" in the upper right corner of the canvas and click the icon to delete it. If you want to restore the canvas, click the "<mark style="color:purple;">Colored Trash Can</mark>" in the upper right corner of the page. After entering the page, click "<mark style="color:purple;">Recovery</mark>" to restore it!

After all subtitles are generated and a single picture is confirmed, you can proceed to the next step!

**Step 9: Image Editing**

The ReadKidz platform supports basic <mark style="color:purple;">image editing functions</mark> and allows for direct layout design of picture books!

① Click on the picture, <mark style="color:purple;">click and hold the small green dot on the green border of the picture to perform operations on the position and size of the picture. Right - click on the picture</mark>, and you can also perform corresponding operations according to the corresponding options!

② If you think the layout of the pictures still lacks creativity, you can use the cropping tool in the editor! The cropping tool contains different masks. <mark style="color:purple;">Select cropping masks of different shapes according to your needs to adjust the shape of the illustrations and make your picture book more creative</mark>!

b. The cropping area can be rotated. <mark style="color:purple;">Adjusting the rotation angle can change the cropping shape</mark>! (<mark style="color:red;">Please note: After cropping is completed, be sure to click "confirm", otherwise the cropping will be invalid</mark>!)

c. After cropping is completed, <mark style="color:purple;">adjust the position of the cropped image</mark> to make the picture more harmonious!

④ If you need to <mark style="color:purple;">add a new canvas</mark>, you can click "<mark style="color:purple;">+ Add pages</mark>" below the canvas. New canvases will only be <mark style="color:purple;">added under the specified canvas</mark>, so be sure to pay attention!

⑤ For the newly added blank page, you can choose the "<mark style="color:purple;">Generate</mark>" icon to enter the <mark style="color:purple;">AI painting page and write your own prompt words to generate images! You can also click "Upload" to upload images by yourself. Of course, you can also click the image upload icon in the right toolbar to upload images</mark>!

⑥ You can click the download button in the upper left corner of the canvas to download the picture!

⑦ Click "<mark style="color:purple;">Delete</mark>" in the upper left corner to delete the canvas! Click the "<mark style="color:purple;">Trash can</mark>" in the upper right corner. After entering the page, click "<mark style="color:purple;">Recovery</mark>" to restore the canvas! (<mark style="color:red;">Note: Newly added canvases cannot be restored after deletion</mark>!)

**Step 10: Subtitle Editing**

① Click the subtitle. Click the green dot on the green border of the subtitle and long press to <mark style="color:purple;">adjust the position and size of the subtitle</mark>. Right-click the subtitle and perform corresponding operations according to the corresponding options!

② After clicking the subtitle, a toolbar for font effect settings will appear on the upper side, and you can <mark style="color:purple;">set the font effect</mark> according to your ideas!

③ If you want your story dialogue to be more interactive, you can <mark style="color:purple;">click the Add Subtitles icon</mark> in the right toolbar and <mark style="color:purple;">select the appropriate font style to add it</mark>!

④ In order to ensure the consistency and viewing experience of the picture book, please remember to <mark style="color:purple;">unify the font effects of the subtitles</mark> on the screen. Right-click the subtitle and select "<mark style="color:purple;">Copy Style</mark>" to unify the font effects of all subtitles except the cover and end!

**Step 11: Stickers Library**

① ReadKidz supports <mark style="color:purple;">a variety of styles of stickers, bubble frames and other diversified material libraries</mark>. Click the material library icon in the right toolbar to enter the material library and select materials that match the style of the picture book to make the picture more interesting!换个房间al

② In order to highlight the subtitles in the picture book story, you can find the bubble frame in the material library, <mark style="color:purple;">select the appropriate bubble, and put the subtitles on the top layer</mark> to make the picture more harmonious!

**Step 12: Dubbing Library**

① After the layout design of the picture book is completed, we can <mark style="color:purple;">dub each subtitle</mark>. Click the dubbing icon on the right toolbar to enter!

② Click on “<mark style="color:purple;">change all voice actors</mark>” in the upper right corner to enter the “<mark style="color:purple;">voice library</mark>” to audition and select the dubbing roles!

③ You can uncheck the subtitles and <mark style="color:purple;">click change voice actor to directly enter the dubbing role list</mark>. Confirm the dubbing role and you can <mark style="color:purple;">unify all subtitles</mark> to use that role!

④ You can also check the subtitles, enter the dubbing list, and <mark style="color:purple;">dub the subtitles separately</mark>!

⑤ New subtitles can also be dubbed, and you can drag the order of the subtitles in the dubbing list to <mark style="color:purple;">adjust the reading order of the subtitles</mark> on that page!

**Step 13: Background Music**

① After dubbing is completed, you can click on the background music library on the right!

② Choose appropriate background music according to the story content of the picture book. You can listen to it by pressing the play button and <mark style="color:purple;">add background music</mark> by pressing “<mark style="color:purple;">+</mark>”!

**Step 14: Background wall**

After adding background music, you can click the background wall library in the right toolbar and <mark style="color:purple;">select a background picture</mark> that matches the style of the picture book, which can make the picture book preview more vivid and interesting!

**Step 15: Save and Preview**

Finally, save it. Click "<mark style="color:purple;">Preview</mark>" to preview the overall effect of the picture book. Adjust it according to the unsatisfactory parts.

**Step 16: Create a new series sequel**

<mark style="color:red;">Please note: If the steps of the first picture book do not reach the storyboard page, you will not be able to create the second picture book</mark>!

1\. Return to the ReadKidz homepage. In the left navigation bar, find "<mark style="color:purple;">My Creations</mark>", click on "<mark style="color:purple;">Book</mark>", select "<mark style="color:purple;">Book Series</mark>", and locate the picture book you created previously.

2\. Click on the "<mark style="color:purple;">+</mark>" at the bottom left of the picture book!

3\. For the story content of the sequel picture book, you can choose to continue <mark style="color:purple;">AI generation</mark>, or you can choose to <mark style="color:purple;">edit the story yourself</mark>!

4\. If you choose AI to generate a story, you can <mark style="color:purple;">check the characters</mark> you need for the sequel picture book, and then choose whether to continue the story based on the first picture book or rewrite a new story based on the characters you checked!
