When using ReadKidz to create character portraits, we often become very frustrated due to dissatisfaction with the character portraits. After all, character portraits are a core step in the creation of picture books. So how can we refine unsatisfactory character portrait images to create the character portraits we want?
First, we need to classify character portraits: human characters, animal characters, insect and plant characters!
Next, I will focus on introducing human characters and animal characters, and how to refine unsatisfactory character portrait images! (Note: The refinement methods for non-human characters are all the same!)
Human Character
1. Carefully review the list of character information on the character portrait page to ensure it is written according to the following requirements!
① Character skin color (required)
② Character hairstyle (required)
③Character facial features (required)
④Character accessories (try not to fill in)
⑤Character clothing (required for human characters, not required for animal characters)
2.Ensure the list follows this format without altering the order:
① Skin color: white (specific color required)
② Hairstyle: brown, short, straight hair (detailed description required)
③ Facial features: arched eyebrows, brown eyes, button nose, round ears, small mouth, full cheeks (specifics needed for features and face shape)
④ Accessories: red detective hat (only if necessary, with a detailed description)
⑤ Clothing: blue T-shirt, brown overalls, red boots (detailed color and type descriptions required)
Animal Character
When creating illustrations of animal roles, we often encounter problems with anthropomorphic animal character illustrations! Animals may have disordered body structures, or features that resemble human clothing issues!
Problems with animal illustrations can cause storyboard issues, like overlapping in dual scenes, shared features, or discrepancies between standing and four-legged positions.
To maintain consistency and stability:
1、Review the character info list according to these criteria (note: non-anthropomorphic animals shouldn't have clothing):
①Fur color (essential)
②Facial features (essential)
③Character attire (remove character attire descriptions)
2、Ensure the list follows this format without altering the order:
①Fur color: white fur (specific color required)
②Facial features: brown eyes, small nose, long ears, small mouth, round face (specific features and face shape needed)
③Character attire: Remove the description of the character's clothing
If you want your character's image to be more stable, avoid describing non-human characters with dialogue in the story, or when refining characters, do not confirm the anthropomorphized characters to proceed to the next step!
