ReadKidz Picture Editor has basic editing functions. If you master the tools, you can also create a wonderful children's picture book! So how to use the editor to create a wonderful children's picture book?
Please note: If you want to make a physical book, make sure to enable bleed lines and don't let the text content extend beyond those lines!

Image generation
Check whether the number of slide pages on the left reaches the number of pages specified by the subtitle!

Check whether there are corresponding portraits for the characters that appear in the subtitles!

Click on "AI images" in the upper right corner of the subtitle on the canvas page to enter the prompt editing page!

Review whether the content of the prompt words corresponds to the story subtitles, and whether the number of characters described in the prompt words corresponds to the character portraits!

Click "My Prompt", and you can also write your own prompt words! Enter a description for the image you want to generate, suggested format: [Background description] [Character action description] [Character clothing description], [Hair color description] [Camera description]

After the review is completed, click "Generate" to generate the picture of the scene. If you are not satisfied with the generated picture, you can click "Generate" to regenerate it, or enter the prompt editing page to adjust the drawing prompt! (Please note: When there is no prompt, clicking the generate button will take you to the prompt page!)

You can also click "Double-page spread" in the upper left corner to enable the two-page spread design!

(Note: To ensure the reading experience of the picture book, the spread function only supports picture book ratios of 1:1 and 3:4! The spread design on the right - hand page can only be enabled after the spread design on the left - hand page is opened!)

The generated images will be displayed on the right side of the canvas. Users can select one of them. If no image is selected, the first image will be selected by default! (Note: Due to platform optimization and upgrading, the 4-in-1 images in your historical image generation data that have not been retrieved cannot be queried!)

Click "Apply to the canvas" to add the drawing to the canvas!

If the number of characters in the subtitles exceeds the character limit, a plain text page will be generated specifically for placing the subtitles. A "Text only" mark will appear in the upper right corner of the plain text page! (Note: The plain text page cannot generate images!)

If you don't need the plain text page, you can select this page and click "delete" to remove it, including the subtitles. (If you need to retrieve the deleted page, you can click on the "Trash" in the upper - level page to restore the deleted page!)

Image Editing
When editing a picture book, you can choose artistic fonts for the cover copy! (Note: This feature currently only supports English picture books. Artistic fonts for other languages will be gradually improved later. Stay tuned!)

Modify image details with spoken descriptions: You can directly describe the changes you want, and the system will quickly understand and make the corresponding modifications.

Click the image to display a green selection box that lets you resize or rotate the image.

The toolbar provides other functions after right-clicking the image:
Undo : Undo the last step
Copy : Copy the image
Paste : Paste the copied image
Generating images : AI rendering pages
Replace : Replace the image
Delete : Delete the image
Lock : Lock the image
Layer : Move Layer
Flip horizontally : Flip the image left and right
Flip vertically : flip the image upside down
Set the image as background : Set the image as background

Click the three dots in the upper left corner of the canvas to download the current image.

Text Editing
Clicking on the text will display a green selection box that will allow you to resize or rotate the text. Double-click on the text to edit it directly!
Click on the subtitles, and the corresponding font settings will appear above! You can choose the appropriate font style, adjust the font size and color, etc.

The toolbar also provides corresponding functions after right-clicking the subtitle:
Copy styles : unify the text effect of the main text (except for the cover and the end)
Switch selected text mark:Change text style
Undo : Undo the last step
Copy : Copy the text

Lock : Lock the text

If you want to add new subtitles, you can click the text library in the toolbar below to add subtitles. The text library contains a variety of font effects, and you can choose according to your needs! (Please note: In order to make the entire picture book look more consistent, it is recommended to set the subtitles to a unified font effect!)

Dubbing
After completing the picture layout design of the picture book, we can dub each subtitle. Click the dubbing icon in the toolbar below to enter!

Click the "Change Voice Actor" button to enter the voice library, listen to the voices of voice actors, choose your favorite voice actor to voice your story, and you can also choose different voice actors for different subtitles.

There are multiple voice actors for you to choose from!

You can directly enter the voice actor list by clicking "Change Voice Actor" without checking the subtitles. After determining the voice actor, all subtitles can be dubbed using this actor!

You can also check the subtitle, enter the dubbing list, and select a voice actor to dub the current subtitle. Different subtitles can use different voice actors!

Please note: New subtitles can also be dubbed. You can drag the subtitles in the dubbing list to adjust the reading order!

Sticker ReadKidz supports a diverse material library including stickers of various styles, bubble frames, etc. Click the material library icon in the toolbar below to enter the material library and select materials that match the style of the picture book to make the picture more interesting!

Background Music After the dubbing is completed, you can click on the background music library on the below and select appropriate background music according to the content of the picture book story. You can listen to it by pressing the play button and click "+" to add background music!

Background wall After adding background music, you can click the background wall library in the toolbar below and select a background picture that matches the style of the picture book, which can make the picture book preview more vivid and interesting!

New and hidden pages If you need to add a new canvas, you can click "+ Add pages" below the slide. The new canvas will only be added under the specified canvas, so be sure to pay attention!

On the newly added blank page, click the "Generate" icon to enter the AI ​​drawing page and write the prompt words to generate the picture! You can also click "Upload" to upload the picture. Of course, you can also use the upload function on the toolbar below to upload pictures!

If you are not satisfied with a certain page, you can use the delete function. Click on the three dots in the upper left corner of the page, and then click the delete icon to delete the current page!

If you want to cancel the deletion, click the "Trash Can" button in the upper right corner of the page, and then enter the page and click "Recovery" to restore it! (Note: Newly added blank pages cannot be restored after deletion!)

Preview and Download
The preview is divided into two types : double-page preview and picture book preview!
â‘ Double-page preview : After we finish editing a page, click the double-page preview icon in the upper left corner to view the double-page effect for better design and layout!

â‘¡ Picture book preview : After completing all the steps, save the work. Then click on the preview icon in the upper right corner, and you can preview the effect of the entire picture book!

After you finish your picture book, you can download it. Click the three dots in the upper right corner and select the format you want to download!

If you need to convert the album into a video, click "Generate video" in the upper right corner to generate the video!

It should be noted that the generation of picture book videos needs to meet the following requirements:
1. This book has at least 12 pages.
2. Each page must contain illustrations, voice-over and title text (except the back cover).

After the video is generated, you can also click the three small dots in the upper right corner and select "Download Video"!
