How can we use the ReadKidz image editor to create an exciting illustrated picture book?

**Step 1 : Image editing**

After entering the image editing page, we can right-click on the image, select "**Image is suitable for background**", so that the image covers the canvas, which is more convenient for creation!

Readkidz editing page

Of course, you can also create by using other features of the image editing, such as: zoom in and out, rotate, etc!

Readkidz editing page

If you think the layout of the image is still not creative enough, you can use the cropping tool in the editor! The cropping tool contains different masks, and you can **choose different shaped cropping masks according to your needs to adjust the illustration shape**, making your picture book more creative!

Readkidz editing page

The cropping area can be rotated, **adjusting the rotation angle can change the shape of the crop**, making your illustration's shape more creative! (**Please note: After the crop is completed, please remember to click "confirm", otherwise the crop is invalid!**)

Readkidz editing page

After cropping, **adjust the position of the cropped image** to make the scene more harmonious!

Readkidz editing page

The editor also supports **the image upload feature**, just click "**upload image**" on the right side of the editing page to upload the image you need!

Readkidz editing page

**Image editing tips :**

If the generated image is not conducive to subtitle layout, we can **move the image** to a reasonable position according to the composition of the picture, then **copy the image** and **align the edges** of the two images, make the two images more matched by **flipping the image**, and then **adjust the subtitles** to a suitable position, which can better carry out picture book layout design!

Readkidz editing page

**Step 2 : Adjust subtitles**

After editing the image, you can proceed with subtitle layout design. Click on the subtitle, and the corresponding font settings will appear at the top! **Choose a suitable font style**, **adjust the appropriate size**, and then **place it in the right position** to make the entire scene look more harmonious!

Readkidz editing page

If you want to **add new subtitles**, you can **click on the text library** in the below toolbar, add subtitles, and the text library contains various styles of font effects, which you can choose according to your needs! (**Please note: To make the whole picture book look more consistent, it is recommended to set the subtitles to a unified font effect!**)

Readkidz editing page

**Subtitle Tips :**

After designing the font style for a subtitle, right-click the subtitle and select "**Copy Style**" to unify the styles of all subtitles, but this will not unify the positions of all subtitles, and manual **adjustment of each page's subtitle position** is still needed! (**Note: This operation does not apply to the font styles of the cover and end pages.**)

Readkidz editing page

If you think the font on the picture is too monotonous, you can also open the material library in the below toolbar, **select a suitable bubble**, and make your picture look more creative!

Readkidz editing page

When using bubbles, pay attention to **the layer position of the bubble and text**. Remember to right-click the text or right-click the bubble to **place the text on top of the bubble**!

Readkidz editing page

Of course, when using the material library, you can also **select appropriate stickers** according to categories and add them to the canvas to make the entire picture more harmonious and interesting!

Readkidz editing page

**Sticker tips :**

When the overall composition of the generated image is good but slightly flawed, stickers can be used to **cover up parts that are not satisfactory**!

Readkidz editing page

**Step 3 : Voiceover**

After we complete the layout design of all pages of the picture book, we can proceed with the voiceover for the subtitles!

Click on the voice library in the elow toolbar, click the "change voice actor" button to enter the voice library, listen to the voice actors' voices, **choose your favorite voice actor to voice your story**, and different subtitles can also choose different voice actors.

Readkidz editing page

Readkidz editing page

**Voice acting tips :**

① You can click "**change voice actor**" without checking the subtitles to directly enter the voice actor list, confirm the voice actor, and then you can **unify all subtitles to use that voice actor**!

Readkidz editing page

② You can also check the subtitle, enter the voiceover list, and **voiceover the subtitle separately**!

Readkidz editing page

③ Subtitle addition can also be voice narrated, and you can **drag the subtitle order in the voice narration list to adjust the reading order of subtitles on the page**!

Readkidz editing page

**Step 4: Background Music**

After we have dubbed all the subtitles, we can add interesting background music. The background music library contains various types of music. **Click the + button to add background music**! **Click the play icon to pause or play the music**! Choose the appropriate background music according to the story content to make the whole picture book story more vivid and interesting!

Readkidz editing page

**Step 5: Background wall**

The final step in making picture books is to **add a suitable background wall**. We can click on the background wall library in the below toolbar and select the background image that best matches the illustration style of the picture book, making the preview of the picture book more visually appealing!
