# How to create your first illustrated story

<mark style="color:purple;">ReadKidz</mark> platform has been upgraded! We have specially launched the Illustrated story feature, which allows you to easily create beautiful illustrated stories. So, how do you start your first illustrated story?

**Step 1 : Create a project**

Method 1: Enter the Readkidz homepage, find "<mark style="color:purple;">Illustrated Story</mark>" in the left navigation bar, and enter the illustrated story creation page!

Method 2: Click on "<mark style="color:purple;">Illustrated stories</mark>" under "<mark style="color:purple;">Choosing Picture Books by Age</mark>" on the right panel, and enter the page to create!

Choose the <mark style="color:purple;">age group, topic type and emotional tone</mark> of the story according to your ideas, and click <mark style="color:purple;">Get Started</mark> to start creating！

**Step 2 : Review and refine roles**

① Enter the story creation page, where the story title and the original story text are displayed. Click to edit and modify! （<mark style="color:red;">Please pay attention to the word limit!</mark>）

② After confirming the story, click <mark style="color:purple;">Extract Roles</mark> to extract the character information in the story!

**Step 3 : Choose a style**

After confirming the character, we need to <mark style="color:purple;">choose a style</mark>. Currently, the platform contains <mark style="color:purple;">more than 100 styles</mark>! Select a style for your picture book and click Next!

**Step 4 : Character Portrait**

After confirming the style, we need to <mark style="color:purple;">create the character portrait</mark>!

① Review whether there are any missing characters in the left character list! Check the right character information panel!

② Click "<mark style="color:purple;">edit character</mark>" at the bottom of the character information panel on the right or the "<mark style="color:purple;">small pencil</mark>" in the upper right corner of the character panel on the left to enter the character editing page!

③ On the character information editing page, there will be corresponding <mark style="color:purple;">character information</mark> according to the character type. Please edit the character information according to whether it is a required item! (<mark style="color:red;">Please note: If there is any information about the clothing of non - anthropomorphic animal characters on the information editing page, it is recommended to delete all clothing - related information!</mark>)

④ You can <mark style="color:purple;">modify the description directly</mark>. If you <mark style="color:purple;">add a new description</mark>, please be sure to <mark style="color:purple;">click the Enter key</mark> and add the description within the specified number of characters, otherwise it will not take effect! After the modification is completed, please remember to <mark style="color:purple;">click confirm to save</mark>!

⑤ If you are not satisfied with the currently selected style, you can <mark style="color:purple;">click to enter the style selection page and reselect the style</mark>! After confirming the style, please make sure that the character portraits of all characters are of the <mark style="color:purple;">same style</mark>! And make sure that <mark style="color:purple;">each character has a character portrait</mark> before you can proceed to the next step! (<mark style="color:red;">Please note that after clicking to enter the next step, the character portrait cannot be regenerated!</mark>)

⑥ Click "<mark style="color:purple;">Generate</mark>" to <mark style="color:purple;">generate a character portrait</mark>. If you are not satisfied with the original picture, you can click "<mark style="color:purple;">Generate</mark>" to <mark style="color:purple;">regenerate it,</mark> or enter the prompt word editing page to <mark style="color:purple;">adjust the drawing prompt words</mark>, and then click "<mark style="color:purple;">Generate</mark>" again to regenerate!

⑦ <mark style="color:purple;">Four pictures will be generated at once.</mark> Select the one you want! (<mark style="color:red;">Note: By default, the first picture is selected after generation!</mark>)

**Step 5 : Graphics and text editing**

Enter the picture and text editing page, <mark style="color:purple;">the text and pictures have been automatically laid out into picture and text illustrations</mark>, you can edit and modify them!

① Text editing : Select the text content that needs to be modified. We can <mark style="color:purple;">click the text effect toolbar at the top to operate, or use the function of the floating toolbar</mark> to perform the corresponding text editing.

② Illustration generation : You can first <mark style="color:purple;">click the small brush</mark> in the upper right corner of the subtitle on the canvas page to enter the prompt word editing page to view the illustration! On the prompt word editing page, <mark style="color:purple;">check</mark> whether the <mark style="color:purple;">prompt word content</mark> corresponds to the <mark style="color:purple;">story paragraph</mark>, and whether the <mark style="color:purple;">character portrait</mark> corresponds to the <mark style="color:purple;">story paragraph</mark>!

Review whether the content of the prompt words corresponds to the story subtitles, and whether the number of characters described in the official prompt words corresponds to the character portraits!&#x20;

Modifications can be made directly on the descriptive words. If you <mark style="color:purple;">add new descriptive words</mark>, be sure to press the "<mark style="color:purple;">Enter</mark>" key and add the descriptive words within the specified number of characters, otherwise it will not take effect! After the modification is completed, remember to click "<mark style="color:purple;">confirm</mark>" to save!

③ After the review is completed, click "<mark style="color:purple;">Generate</mark>" to generate the screen image. If you are not satisfied with the original image, you can enter the prompt word editing page to <mark style="color:purple;">adjust the drawing prompt words</mark> and click <mark style="color:purple;">"Generate" to regenerate</mark>!

④ Four pictures will be generated at once. Select the one you want and click "<mark style="color:purple;">confirm</mark>"!(<mark style="color:red;">Note: The first picture is selected by default after generation. Please click "confirm" for the selected picture!</mark>)
